Alden are proud of their "Platinum" range of satellite systems.  The Platinum range come with a choice of the new "BIPsat" Receiver controller making the use of an additional digi box unnecessary, although like all the Alden satellites a digi box such as a Sky digi box can be connected to the system.

The BIPsat receiver controller does make operating this system very easy indeed, as you simply select the satellite you want to watch, or the satellite best suited for the area your in, and the available Free To Air (FTA) programmes that are available on the chosen satellite are displayed.  It really is that simple.

Alden is the preferred choice of satellite system for French motorhome converters Rapido and many of their motorhomes are pre-wired for Alden systems, saving you time and disruption on installation.

Being Platinum coloured this may be a defining for the modern motorhome owner who is worried about colour co-ordination. The Platinum range also has a perforated dish similar to those found in a domestic system, to give maximum protection for the equipment and your viewing pleasure in strong winds.

Another interesting feature of Alden dishes is the nylon “shear” bolts.  If you forget to close the dish in strong winds and the speed of the wind is to much for the system to cope with, in extreme cases the shear bolts should give before drastic damage if caused to the main assembly.  Of course for your own protection, like any make of satellite dish, it is advisable to close the dish if strong winds are forecast. When installed the system is connected to an ignition circuit and should retract when the engine is started to avoid the risk of driving off and damaging the dish.
